What types of charges can I expect from Highlighter?
Highlighter has the following charges:
- Licence Fee to provide access to our Highlighter product
- Usage Fees based on how much you use Highlighter:
- Storage fee
- Compute fee
- Service Fees which involves services to help you with:
- Development fees to help you develop solutions with Highlighter
- Operational fees which involves carrying out assessments in Highlighter
Who owns the intellectual property hosted in Highlighter?
The account is responsible for the data uploaded to Highlighter, and owns the intellectual property they develop in Highlighter. These are:
- The raw data uploaded into Highlighter eg., raw images, video, text etc.
- The assessments completed in Highlighter
- The model weights as developed in Highlighter
Can I download the intellectual property I've developed in Highlighter?
Yes, Highlighter makes available the intellectual property developed by users in their own account. You can download the raw data, the assessments and the model weights for you to use elsewhere.
Can I run my models outside of Highlighter?
Yes, since you can download the model weights, you can setup your own instance to serve the models. You'll need your own data scientist or engineer to build a solution (eg., on AWS or a custom server) to run the models.
What happens to my data at the end of my subscription?
The data is scheduled for deletion after 90 days at the end of the subscription.
What level of support is offered?
We believe in helping your business with what it takes to succeed, and you can access our services to help you get the most out of Highlighter. These services can include:
- Training in how to use Highlighter
- Assistance with the development of your assessment process with Highlighter
- Help with building your own agents and custom capabilities
- Support in dealing with any issues in the use of Highlighter
We provide the following levels of support:
- Base support via email only that is included in every plan
- Premium support that includes phone support
- Enterprise support which includes access to a dedicated account manager and services from our consulting team
Data Sources
How many types of data can I import data into Highlighter?
Highlighter supports assessment different types of data sources: image, video, audio and text.
Where is the data stored?
When data is uploaded into Highlighter, it is stored in the AWS Sydney data centre.
I want to use my own storage, can I use that instead of Highlighter's?
Currently this is not possible, but it is on our roadmap. If you have data soverignty requirements, we can assist by setting up an enterprise deployment of Highlighter in your data centre to meet those requirements. Please contact our team to arrange a conversation for more information.
Agents and Capabilities
Agents are workers in Highlighter that have specific capabilities to perform assessments. Please see our Agents concepts page learn more about what agents and capabilities are and how they work.
Can I train my own model?
Yes, you can train your own model. These models become an agent's capabilities in Highlighter. You can train the model inside of Highlighter using Highlighter's capabilities, or you can train the model outside of Highlighter and upload the model artefact to Highlighter to be run and managed inside Highlighter.
I want to run my own agents, is that possible?
Yes, we have designed the system which runs agents to be capable of running outside of our Highlighter Cloud. This means that you could host and run your own agents and have them submit their work to Highlighter.
